SUBJECT : Reduction of Security Violations
1. At a meeting of the Senior Staff recently it was pointed out that
there has been a sharp increase in the number of security violations
since the move to the Len gley building. In 1962 the number of security
violations increased to increase over the previous year. In
1963 the number grew
Z. Obviously, an intelligence organization must function in accord-
ance with strict security standards. I therefore request an immediate
and concerted effort to reduce these numbers of security violations.
3. Security is a basic command and supervisory responsibility,
and I ask that each of you work closely with supervisors to reduce the
number of security violations. The most obvious need is for closer
supervision of the after-hours security checks and improving the security
consciousness of our employ***.
4. Please call upon the Office of Security for whatever assistance
you will need.
