ME RANtV1 FOR: Acting Assistant Director (Personnel)
SUBJECT
STATOTHR
1. Herewith is the file on hich I mentioned
to you on the telephone. She ha 1 ant since 17 August
1951 and, according to the file has been pretty thoroughly shopped
in the likely places. (See orandum of 19 October). 25X1 A
2. You can note in my come of 11 September that she has
pretty good qualifications but would not fit toawell, in nV office.
After an hour's interview, I am confirmed in n W own mind in this
conclusion. She is, I believes of above average intelligence and
with fairly broad experience, pririar r in the legal field. 'he
has an excellent memory recounting legal ec riences of over twenty
years ago in full detail. She might be a little slow, but I should
think correspondingly ttorough. She has a pleasant if somewhat
determined personality and not too much humor. She definitely would
prefer an overseas assignment and points out correctly that while
she is 54, she has kept herself in good trim. She has been as high
as $8,877 in Civil Service but her last position was,,4t $6,235.
3. I feel it is quite possible she would make an excellent
administrative officer soavwht:re around the 0S-21 or 12 level,
although she would obviously need some special training to qualify,
