the Far East Cominform (sic), arrived by plane in Canton from Nanning
2. K'o-szu-ta-chi held a meeting that night of the Overseas Intelligence
Section of the South China Sub-Bureau to determine methods of obtaining
more supplies for the Democratic Republic of Vietnam (DRV) through Hong
Kong and Macao.
3. The meeting was attended byu YE Chien-ying, FANG Fang T'AN Ching wen tfk

Comment. PAO has been previously referred to as a repre-
sentative to the Chinese Communists. L
equivalent of his name is Bao Cuu Minh.
Comment. Probably IX Yuan-chia, also known as Vo Nguyen Giap.
K'o-szu-to-c:hi was to remain in Canton for two weeks to inspect the Hong
Ko and Macao borders. He was to be accompanied by PAO Chiu-ming
)3 and WU Wen-chic ( ,j k ' )4.
Comment. Possibly this is the same individual reported) 25X1
as Chieh-szu--t'e-chi hsi, Soviet director of the China of-
fice of the Cominform (sic).

2. Comment. The list of minor officials given here is reminis-
cent of a news item put out the China Union Press and carried by 25X1
several papers in Hong Kong It described a Chinese
Communist Overseas Intelligence Bureau, and listed WU Ti-ohou as Secretary,
MA Chi as a deputy secretary. LO Li-ship as chief of the Liaison
Department, CH'EN Jang-ohih as chief of the, Department of Investigation
and Statistics, JAO Chang-feng as chief of the United Front Department,
and LI Chang-ta as chief of the Department of Research and Training?
