REMARKS
1. Between 19 and 22 April 1955, troop trains totalling 85 converted boxcars, 70
boxcars and 300 flatcars including 90 heavy-duty flatcars were dispatched from 25X1
Ammendorf to Rossleben. On 25, 26 and 27 April, a similar movement included 50
converted boxcars, 80 boxcars and 280 flatcars..'
2. Between 24 and 27 April, major entrainings were observed at Dessau and Zerbst.
The trains went to Forst Zinna and Jueterbog. By order of the Soviets, unloading
was done only at night..2 25X1
3. On 3 May, nine troop trains totalling 30 converted boxcars, 80 boxcars and 185
flatcars including 100 heavy-duty flatcars were loaded at Borna, Grimma, "urzen and
Leipzig (instead of Rueckmarsd.orf). The trains went to Schwepnitz.3

Comment. The movement includes more than 20 troop trains which. probably
carried the 21st Gds Mecz Div from Halle to the Los.;a roop training grounds. 25X1
Comment, The troop trains which carried the 7th Gds Tk Div to Jueterbog
have been repeatedly confirmed. A detraining by night was probably ordered for
trnnop trains which carried T-54 tanks..
Comment. Coinciding observations of entraining at Grimma and Wurzen and 25X1
detraining at Koenigsbrueck confirm the present report. On 6 May 1955, only a
rear detail was stationed at the Panzer Kaserne (1161) in Borna.
