Called Marshall Wright, Assistant Secretary of State for Con ressional Relations, this morning and told him of the conver- sation that OCI, and I had with Senator Bennett Johnston (D., La.) and two members of his staff over the phone last night. Talked to Garner J. Cline, Counsel, Subcommittee on Immigration, Citizenship and International Law, House Judiciary Committee, several times during the day concerning the briefing on terrorism scheduled for Thursday, 18 October. Due to the press of Committee business, it was finally necessary to cancel the briefing for the present. Bill Nelson, DDO,and CI Staff, have been advised. 11. I Received a call from Dorothy Fosdick, Senate Permanent Investigations Subcommittee staff, who asked that I come by in the morning to talk to her about a matter that cannot be discussed on the telephone.
