Approved For Release 2006/10/10: CIA-RDP74B00415R000200190007-9 CON F1 T)r-- INITIAL Journal - Office of Legislative Counsel Page 3 Thursday - 3 August 1972 7. Met with Jim Cline, on the staff of the House 25X1 Immigration_an d Nationality Subcommittee, in response to his request that I drop by. He said Chairman Rodino was very much interested in the drug situation and had asked if he could be given a copy of the report which accord- ing to recent newspaper articles had been prepared by the Agency on the drug situation. I told Cline it was my understanding this was not a CIA report as such but rather a report on which we collaborated along with a number of other agencies. I said I thought it had been prepared for the White House and we were not in a position to release it, but it was quite possible we could provide Mr. Rodino with an advanced copy of an unclassified report on the drug situation which had been written more recently and of course had more current information in it. Cline said he was sure Rodino would appreciate having this and wondered if we could give him a briefing on the earlier classified document. I told him I thought we could and would look into it. Cline said he thought some afternoon next week would be the best time to get together. WWI F I DENT IAL Approved For Release 2006/10/10: CIA-RDP74B00415R000200190007-9
