SUBJECT: Nomination of Committee Delegates for SG 161/20
Conference (U)
TO: Director, Central Intelligence
Central Intelligence Agency Headquarters Building
Washington., D. C. 20505
1. (U) The Ad Hoc Intelligence Working Group (AHIWG) for
the preparation of SG 161/20 will convene in Washington on
21 March 1966. The conference is scheduled to continue
until 1 April 1966.
2. (C) The Director,, Defense Intelligence Agency, invites
you to nominate delegates to participate with representatives
on the Econom c'Committee and the Scientific and Technical
Committee. Alternates also should be named at this time.
The delegate nominated for the Economic Committee will be
the U.S. spokesman for the representatives on that committee.
In past conferences you have nominated a delegate to serve
on the Political Committee, and representation on this
committee is available if you desire to name a delegate for
the position.
3. (C) You are also invited to nominate a representative
for the Steering Committee to ass"ist and advise the Head
of the U.S. Delegation.
4. (C) It is my understanding that you wish to nominate
representatives to serve as observers during the proceedings
of the AHIWG.- This is continuation of past procedures
and you are invited to forward nominations. Because of
space limitations, however, it is requested that your
observers be limited to two.
5. (C) All nominees :must be certified to possess U.S. TOP
SECRET and COSMIC TOP SECRET clearances. It is requested
that your memorandum of nomination include such certification.
