THE TYURATAM MISSILE TEST CENTER, USSR, is PARTIALLY COVERED BY ONE PASS OF CLEAR STEREO PHOTOGRAPHY OF GOOD INTERPRETABILITY. COVERAGE INCLUDES THOSE LAUNCH FACILITIES FROh1 COMPLEX E EASTWARD TO LAUNCH SITE I~. CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITY CONTINUES AT COMPLEX J AND LAUNCH SITE I7; RENEI+IED ACTIVITY CONSISTING OF NEW EXCAVATIONS, .AND DITCHING IS APPARENT AT PREVIOUSLY DORMANT LAUNCH SITES I2 AND I3. 3. CONSTRUCTION CONTINUES AT FACILITY C, LAUNCH COMPLEX B AND A GALOSH CANISTER IS IDENTIFIED ADJACENT TO LAUNCH POSITION C-1. THE KORDON SAM TRAINING AREA IS CLOUD COVERED. 6. THE SAM LAUNCH COMPLEXES AT KAPUSTIN YAR, USSR, AND SHUAi`IG- CHENG-TZU, CHINA, ARE NOT COVERED. 7. A PROBABLE LONG RANGE SAM LAUNCH COMPLEX IS NEWLY IDENTIFIED AT KOSTROMA. THIS ONE, TOGETHER WITH THE NEWLY IDENTIFIED ONE AT KHABAROVSK, INCREASES THE TOTAL NUMBER OF THESE COMPLEXES TO 25. 8. THE BABAYEVO LONG RANGE SAM COMPLEX, THE ONLY SUCH COMPLEX CARRIED AS A PROBABLE INSTALLATION, IS NOW CONFIRMED. ANGARSK, CHEREPOl1ETS, NIZHNY TAG IL, NIZHNYAYA TUBA, 5VERDLOVSK, MOZHAYSK, AND KIMRY ARE COVERED. ALL OTHER COMPLEXES ARE CLOUD-COVERED, IVOT COVERED OR ARE IN DARKNESS. 9. AT MOSKVA, PROBABLE ABM LAUNCH COMPLEXES EPJS, E24, E31, AND E33 AND THE PROBABLE ABM PHASED ARRAY RADAR ARE COVERED... CONSTRUC- TION CONTINUES WITH NO SIGNIFICANT DEVELOPMENTS OBSERVED. 10.
