SUBJECT: Sociological Supplements to Terrain Atlases (U)

1. (C) The Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) has a request from the
Advanced Research Projects Agency for sociological and economic intel-
ligence data in fields for which DIA does not have production respon-
sibilities. Applicable National Intelligence Surveys have been checked
and have been found to lack specific details.
2. (C) Enclosure 1 is a brief synoptic outline of the topics for
which detailed data are required. The areas for which these sociological
supplements are required are listed on enclosure 2 in order of priority.
3. (U) It is requested that CIA provide DIA with the indicated intel-
ligence within. the next twelve months.
