request, which attern -ts to show the relationship of USIB
coxnittees to USIB It is
a rather unconventional graphic but, I think, shows relation-
ships as accurately as any other chart we have been able to
devise.

The precise procedures governing the appointment
of chairmen of individual committees varies as between
committees. As the chart indicates, they are all appointed
The charters of individual committees provide
some cases that the appointment will be with the advice
and consent of USIB. In other cases that the appointment
shall be made "in consultation with" USIB. As a practical
I should of course be glad to come in and talk to you
or General Taylor about this chart at any time.
