28 April 1965
I received a telephone call from
Executive Assistant to Vice President
Humphrey. He said he was calling to express the
Vice President's appreciation for the current in-
telligence service we were providing him. Mr.
said he reads the Current In ells ence
Bulletin with great care eac morn n`g, an inds
f blicatioi* information of considerable
value to him.
2. offered to convey to me from
time to time some of the Vice President's comments
as an indicator of his particular interests. I
accepted this proposal, saying that feedback of
this sort was extremely valuable to us in deter-
mining whether or not we are providing the right
service to our high-level consumers. Referring
to the issue of 28 April, said the Vice
President had been particularly interested in the
items on the current situation in Vietnam, the
suppression of the Buddhists in Burma, the Borth
Korean attack on the US reconnaissance aircraft,
and the account of the situation in the Dominican
Republic. I told that we would be
happy to provide the Vice President with additional
information on these or other topics at any time
he might request them. I said frequently we have
memoranda or other already published pieces which
we can provide, or we could pull together the in-
formation in response to a specific request from
the Vice President.

3. I I expressed his gratitude for
this offer of additional service. I assured him
that we regarded it our job to keep the Vice Pres-
ident as fully informed on matters of substantive
