I enclose herewith biographical data and a statement by STAT
which I believe quite thoroughly covers his as WO U as xs STAT
Perhaps more important than this data is my per-
sonal assessment o' I have not been a close personal
acquaintance of but over several years have heard of his
work both direc fit' an n rectly. He apparently did an excellent job
the latter capacity he has shown considerable ability as an executive
and in persuading others to support the work of the
Inasmuch as my organization is quite familiar with the work of
the virtue of identity of interests, I believe
it wouid a remiss on my part not to not very
valuable contribution in the position he now Was. we consider that the
I s doing a truly outstanding job in the struggle
lo r I believe that this should be taken
into consideration if there is any thought of enticing him away from that
position to accept one in the Government.
