DDS&T 977-78/2 As a result of your prior submissions to the Office of Legislative Counsel concerning desired amendments to the provisions of the proposed Title.IV, the CIA charter, we suggested the amendment to Section 423(2) which is noted on the attachment. In order that we may be able to support such additional language, however, we must have more specific information concerning the basis and need for the authority. Would you please supply me with further details concerning the nature and extent of the official assistance provided by the Agency to NASA, EPA, Texas State Department of Natural Resources, the Washington D.C. school system, and other similar instances whether involving NPIC or other Agency components of which you may be aware.
