Information that the CIA has high-rankingl
Communist Party officials on its payroll has'
been disclosed by Sen Milton R. Young, R-ND,,
who serves on a subcommittee that handles
funds for the CIA.
"Many of our most valuable CIA operatives `
''in various countries throughout the world are
actually high-ranking Communist Party of-
ficials," the senator said in a newsletter to'
his constituents.
The senator's statement undoubtedly has
caused a great many Communist leaders in a'
great many countries to look at each other'
askance. Possibly it may compel some of
those who are in the employ of the CIA to
stop giving it information. ,
But it is pleasing to know that they, are not,
moo.dedicated to Communism that they cannot?
