Approved FgWelea 3 January 1979 Admiral Stansfield Turner Director of Central Intelligence Central Intelligence Agency Washington, D. C. 20505 001000080021-6 STA I would like to strongly echo I assessment of the President's Executive Interchange Program. My assignment with Market Economics Department involves both a staff role in corporate plan- ning, and participation in an on-the-line task force evaluating overseas market prospects. The Company has done everything possible to provide me with a broad exposure to corporate decision-making. As Bob's experience also is demonstrating, there is a genuine demand by the private sector participants in this program for people with strong international experience such as we have in the agency. And in the right assignment, our mid-level careerists could not ask for a better one year course in management techniques, program planning, personnel policy, etc. In addition, the various study seminars sponsored by the Commission on Personnel Interchange offer a similar amount of direct, informal contact with top government officials and business leaders as the higher level Senior Seminar. I appreciate the chance to take part in this program, and I hope the agency will continue to support it. Sincerely yours, c: Dr...Maurice Ernst-, Director, Office of Economic Research President's Commission on Personnel Interchange STAT Approved For Release 2004/05/12 : CIA-RDP83-00156R001000080021-6
