ou are cordially invited to join us for what may be one of the
most significant gatherings in recent years, the symposium on "The Possible
Society: An Exploration of Practical Policy Alternatives For The Decade
Ahead," at the Tidewater Inn, April 26, 27, and 28, 1979.
Participation in the symposium is by invitation only and is strictly
limited to 125 Washington government policy makers. Invitations are not
transferable; however, if you cannot join us, you may use the enclosed
form to recommend someone to be among the 125 participants.
Support for this Symposium is being provided by the U.S. Departments
of Agriculture, Energy, Commerce, Interior, and Housing and Urban Development.
"The Possible Society" symposium leaders will be Jean Houston,
Donald Michael, Walt Anderson, George Leonard, Jerry Fletcher, and Hazel
Henderson. They will present their views of our changing society and
explore with you and other participants the possible.ways to meet America's
new needs and expectations. A complete agenda, along with information
about the symposium leaders is enclosed.
NIPA will cover all basic costs, including meals and lodging. You
need only be responsible for your transportation.
Please return the enclosed form as soon as possible. The reply
deadline has been extended to April 3, 1979. Again, because of the size of the
Tidewater Inn, we are absolutely limited to 125 participants. Once that
number is reached, we will be obliged to close off any future registrations.
We look forward to your joining us in April to discuss, "The Possible
Society."
Sincerely,
Enid Beaumont
