1. Discussed the Rodino _ bbill with Mary
Sabine and Mr. Tryck of the Bureau of the Budget. After hearing the
background of the bill, they were satisfied that BOB would have no
objections if certain changes were made to satisfy the Department of
Justice. Later, Miss Sabine called to say that although Mr. Rommel,
Deputy Director, Legislative Reference, BOB, had no problems with
the immediate purpose of the bill, he questioned the general policy of
the bill and desired a conference with State and Justice at which the
Agency could be represented if desired. I shall follow up on this. See
