Approved For Release 2004/05/12 : CIA-RDP69B00369R000100130027-2 Journal Office of Legislative Counsc Page 2 Thursday - 30 June 1966 5. Met wit 1 Woodruff, Senate Appropriations Committee staff, furnishing him a portf< f unclassified maps. He furnished to me a copy of the Fulbright it to all senators on the McCarthy resolution which included a final version of the resolution and the Senate Foreign. Relations Committee report. Discussed with Mr. Woodruff the question of treating a portion of our funds on a no , year basis. He agreed with our legal analysis that all that would be required would be appropriate language in the normal joint letter from Mahon and Hayden. Woodruff also stated he would like to visit our budget control room next week. I said we would arrange this. Woodruff also advised that there is serious consideration being given to appointing Senator; Lister Hill to the CIA Subcommittee of Senate Appropriations. 6. FE Division, called and advised that a low-key response has been received by State Department from Saigon concerning religious affiliation of RD Cadres' personnel, and will be transmitted by the Department to Congressman Rumsfeld. The response, in essence, indicates that no statistics are available and if available, would not be too meaningful since the individuals are nominated by provinces with some provinces being represented by several teams while others by one or none. 7. CA Staff, advised that the Guild in Munich, Germany, is sending a two-man team to Washington, D. C. , departing 5 July to "assist" on the Rodino bill relating to residence requirements for citizenship for RFE personnel.
