Yesterday during the day, overcast weather with local fogs prevailed in
the Belorussian SSR. Rains fell in Brestskaya and PinsY.aya oblasts. Temper-
atures at 1500 were 4 degrees above cero in Bychikha, 5 in Minsk and Mogilev,
8 in Grodno and Gomel'. 9 in Brest, and 10 in Pinsk. (2.)

Yesterday during the day, variable cloudiness prevailed in the Belorussian
SSR. Light rains fell locally. Temperatures at 1500 were 4 degrees above zero
in Minsk, Polotsk, and Gomel'; 5 in Vitebsk, Grodno, and Baranovichi; and 6 in
Pinsk and Brest. (1)
This morning, overcast weather. with strong winds and precipitation in the
form of rain and local snow, prevailed in the central regions of the European
USSR and the eastern half of the Ukraine. Subzero weather without substantial
precipitation prevailed in the northern regions of the European USSR.
Last night's lowest temperature in Lloscow was 2 degrees below zero; the
same temperature prevailed at noon today.(2)
Yesterday morning's temperatures were 18 degrees below zero in Murmansk,
-15 on Dikson island. -11 in %rkhang-l's:?, -3 in Sverdlovsk, -2 in Tallin, 1
degree above zero in Moscow and Riga., 4 in Kiev, 7 in Odessa, 12 in Rostov on
the Don, 13 in Tashkent, 1% in Ashkhabad and Yalta, and 21 in Sochi.

This morning, warm weather prevailed in most of the European USSR. Rains
fell in the Belorussian SSR, the rorthwestern and northern regions of the European
USSR, and the northern portion of the central region. It was cold in Komi ASSR
and the Urals.
Temperatures at 0900 this morning were 8 degrees below zero in Nar'yan-Mar
and Molotov; 6 degrees below in Syktyvkar; zero in Murmansk, Minsk, Kiev, and Ufa;
1 degree above zero in Kishinev; 2 in Arkhangelsk, Kirov, Kuybyshev, Smolensk,
and Poltava; 3 in Leningrad, Riga, and Saratov; 4 in Kalinin, Kazan'. and Kharkov;
5 in Vologda and Odessa; 6 in Voronech; 7 in Gor'kiy; 8 in Rostov; 9 in Tambov;
16 in Yalta; and 17 in Sochi.

-10 in Kuybyshev; -9 in Stalingrad; -8 in Kazan'; -7 in Molotov and Kirov; -6
in Gor'kiy and Syktyvkar; -3 in Kharkov and Vologda; -2 in Smolensk, Rostov,
and Astrakhan'; -1 in Petrozavodsk, Lvov, and Arkhangel'sk; zero in Kaliningrad
and Murmansk; 1 degree above zero in Riga, Tallin, and Odessa; 2 in Leningrad;
3 in Kiev; 8 in Yalta; and 10 in Sochi.

snowstorms, prevailed in the Belorussian SSR.
Temperatures at 1500 were 3 degrees below zero in Orsha; -2 in Polotsk,
Gomel; Minsk, and Mogilev; -1 in Vileyka; zero in Mozyr' and Brest; and 1 degree
above zero in Pinsk. (1)

in Gur'yev and Voronezh; -6 in Kuybyshev, Petrozavodsk, Rostov, and Kalinin; -4

the Belorussian SSR. Snowfalls were recorded in most of the southwestern portion
of the republic. Snowstorms occurred locally. Variable cloudiness without pre-
cipitation wan recorded in the extreme northeastern portion of the republic.
Temperatures at 1500 were 6 degrees below zero in Minsk, -5 in Bobruysk, -4 in
Baranovichi, -3 in Mozyr', -2 in Polotsk and Mogilev, -1 in Pi ask, zero in Vitebsk,
and 1 degree above zero in Brest.(1)

European USSR. It was warm, only in the Crimea and the Transcaucasus.

During the last few days, precipitation, mostly in the form of snow, fell
in the Belorussian SSR. A snow cover has formed whose greatest depth was re-
corded in the central portion of the republic. Yesterday during the day, temper-
atures were 1 degree below zero in Vitebsk; zero in Minsk, Mogilev, and Polotsk;
1 degree above zero in Grodno, Slutsk, and Gomel'; 3 in Pinsk; and 4 in Brest.(1)
19 November
Yesterday during the day, slightly cloudy weather prevailed in most of the
Belorussian SSR. Light rains fell only in the extreme western portion of the
republic. Temperatures at 1500 were 3 degrees below zero in Minsk, -2 in Polotsk
and Gomel', -1 in Mogilev, zero in Baranovichi, 1 degree above zero in Pinsk, 2
in Grodno, and 11 in Brest.(l)

This morning, overcast weather with light and, locally, moderate subzero
temperatures prevailed in most of the European USSR. Subzero temperatures.
