Appr a For Reoase 200?/09109 - Clio RDP82R00129R~100100007-2 Office emorancum -UNITED STATES GOVERNMENT TO Executive Secretary, United States Information Board FROM : Chief Telephone Section/Office of Logistics DATE:21 Nov 1958 SUBJECT: White House Security Switchboard Telephone Service, Sterling 3-0333 1. In keeping with our discussion of 20 November 1958 re- affirmation of the requirement for installation of White House security telephone service in the residences of the USIB members was obtained by the Director of Logistics via telephone with Mr. Assistant to the Director on 20 November 1958. 2. It is my understanding that all members of the board will be notified that arrangements are being made to install this service in their homes. At the time this announcement is made it is requested that each member be informed that they will be contacted by the Army Signal Agency concerning the date the telephone company installation personnel may gain access to their residence to install the telephone instruments. It is -requested that the Telephone Section be notified at such time as the members are informed in order that the Army Signal Agency may be requested to proceed. 3. It would be most helpful if whenever a change in the USIB membership takes place, the CIA Telephone Section, exten- sion 4441 be notified. This procedure will insure the prompt issuance of orders for the discontinuance of this service. vs~l3 ,& ,O u ti 02- Approved For Release 2002/05/09 : CIA-RDP82R00129R000100100007-2 SECRET
