a briefing of Senator Stuart Symington's (D., Mo.) Subcommittee on Arms
Control, International Organizations and Security Agreements, Senate.
Foreign Relations Committee. (See Memo for the Record).
13. Tim Ingram, on the staff of Representative
Bella S. Abzug's (D. , N. Y.) Subcommittee on Government Information and
Individual Rights, House Government Operations Committee, called to say
25X1A that during his testimony today, Mr. Cole, of the U. S. .Attorne -'s office,
had been adamant about the statements made b of OGC,
STATOTHR regarding the ase. Ingram feels that there are
25X1A. significant.discrepancies between statements and. the testimony
of other witnesses (he commented that even Peterson, who works for Kevin
25X1A Marortey, disputed some of Maroney's testimony) and these discrepancies
can only be resolved by having appear before'the Subcommittee,- on
Thursday at 9:00 a. m.. I told Ingram I would talk with our General Counsel
people and we would be back in touch with him tomorrow.

14. Jim Hyde, of OMB, called on a personal
matter to say he would like to have the name and telephone number of our
outplacement officer who might provide a list of prospects for a position
which Hyde has in mind for a veteran's organization. I told him I would
talk to our personnel people and be back in touch with him.
