I have invited six Senators, plus
myself, to come to the breakfast on August 18.
They are Mac Mathias, Henry Bellmon, Howard
Baker, Paul Laxalt, Lawton Chiles and John
Glenn. That's a few more than we had last
time, but I have learned from experience
that at the last minute a couple will drop
out, so that this way we'll end up with four
or five.
The format you followed the last time
was an excellent one. Namely, you set forth
some of your concerns, with the Senators then
having a chance to ask you various questions.
I think it's nice to have present a
couple of your associates. It's good for us
to get to know them.
Here's hoping you and Pat are having a
wonderful summer!
