2. Left with John Jackson, in the office of
Senator Leverett Saltonstall, copies of the pictures taken during the Senator's
luncheon visit here last month. The Senator is expected to be in town
this weekend.
3. Having been advised by Mr. Proctor,
A/DDI, that the DDI had talked with Mr. Helms and obtained his approval
for the Library of Congress to publish the ORR publication "Communist
Chinese Balance of . Payments, 1960-1965" as part of the Joint Economic
Committee's study on China's economy, I informed Leon Herman, in the
Library of Congress, that this publication could be used as he requested
with Agency attribution.
