25X1 on a Cuban defector, for J. Sourwine, Senate
Subcommittee on Internal Security. Sourwine later called and said

7. Picked up from Congressman
Samuel Stratton's (D., N. Y.) office copies of the Congressman's
report on the Far East.
25X1 10. Talked with Colonel Glenn Smith,
Senate Preparedness Investigation Subcommittee, who accompanied
Senator Jackson on his recent trip. Colonel Smith stated that they
met with John Hart for three and one-half hours, beginning at 3:30
p. m. Colonel Smith was advised that their printed schedule received
from MACV showed this appointment and the remainder of the after-
noon and evening as free time. At 7 p.m., not having received an
invitation to dinner, Colonel Smith and Senator Jackson returned to
their quarters.
