Since July 1961 the Department of State has furnished a senior
intelligence officer for duty with the Coordination Staff of the Director
of Central Intelligence. Other officers are detailed from the
Department of Defense and the Central Intelligence Agency.
The Coordination Staff wider Cener a been assist-
tug the DO in his community-wide respone es for coordination
of the United States foreign intelligence activities. Such assistance
to Mr. McCo is is now the responsibility of Mr. John Bross, Deputy
to the DC 1 for National Intelligence Programs Evaluation.
