On 26 September you wrote to this A enc requesting
that Ms. Cheryl 0. Holmes' clearances
be transferred from the Drug n orcement inistration
to your Committee.
Our inquiries to that organization indicate that
Ms. Holmes did not hold any clearances with them. To
date we have not received the summary memorandum of the
Director, Federal Bureau of Investigation which your
Committee normally provides with requests for your staff
clearances. Upon receipt of that summary we will be
pleased to make a decision with respect to Ms. Holmes'
clearances.

Holmes to be engaged in this Committee's
investigation of alleged improper activities of the Government
of South Korea, pursuant to H. Res. 252.
Formerly, Ms. Holmes was an Intelligence Research Specialist
with the Drug Enforcement Administration and will be employed by
this Committee on a temporary basis. This letter is to request
that all security clearances she presently has be continued in her
new assignment.
