MEMORANDUM FOR THE RECORD
Morning Meetinj& of 7 Maay 1965:
There was a current intelligence briefing.
A/DDP noted reports of possible Cuban involvement in the
Dominican Republic. He noted plans by elements in both
to attack US installations. He noted Chinese communist dissatisfaction
with Cuban revisionism. He noted the wheat problem in the UAR. He re-
ported that Governor Harriman had left Chile with no undue disturbance.

DDS also noted that an effort would be made to get a tax break for civilians
along the lines of the provisions for the military in Vietnam. He also noted
the institution of a new all-hazard insurance policy.
DDI displayed the Vietnam Monthly. DCI requested that curves
be inserted in the statistical section. Cline also described the Tuesday
planning lunches with particular reference to Wait Rostow's visit to Japan.
He also mentioned the Vice President's satisfaction with our intelligence
service to him.

DGI noted that he was not being informed on decisions such as
augmentation of forces in South Vietnam. Cline is to speak to McGeorge
