JIM HARTZ: "CIA Director, Richard Helms, went
before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee today. He
apologized for writing a letter that was critical of Chair-
man J. William Fulbright. Helms said the letter had been
drafted by an assistant and that he didn't read it carefully
enough before signing his name.
"Fulbright said the incident is now closed."
