DREIER: "The CIA's new Director, Richard Helms
apologized personally to Senator J. William Fuibright
today for a letter Helms had sent to a newspaper praising
the paper for criticizing Fuibright. Helms explained,
someone else wrote the letter over his signature but he
took full blame for it, said it was a mistake, and Senator
Fuibright aooepted the CIA Director's apology."
