CODEL - WEIL. Mr. Richard S. Weil, a member of the staff of
the House Un-American Activities, is planning a trip through the
various countries of Western Europe on Committee business.
Mr. Weil has been authorized to utilize local currencies
in the Congressional Travel Account (19FT561) to defray official
travel expenses.
Provisions of the Handbook for Congressional Foreign Travel
apply. Posts are requested to arrange hotel reservations, meet
on arrivals to expedite customs clearances, and assist as required.
All posts are required to notify onward posts and the Department
when Mr. Weil's plans become firm and make commercial reservations
accordingly.
Mr. Well leaves Washington, D. C. on August 15 at 2:00 p.m.
via WITS A-423 and arrives in Paris on August 16 at 12s50 p.me
Paris is requested to make hotel reservations for him for three
nights.
From Paris, Mr. Well wishes to proceed to Frankfort and
then to Berlin; and he may possible include Zurich and London
on his itinerary.
At the present time, Mr. Weil plans to return from Paris
via a WITS flight on September 7-
