MEMORANDUM FOR: D/DCI/NI and NIOs
SUBJECT Advisory Panel Nominees - Rough Categories of Prime
Expertise
Most of the Panel nominees can fairly be claimed to be generalists,
and they have been put on the list for that reason. But most generalists
have a primary orientation or specialty. The categories below group the
alphabetical list roughly by primary specialty. It is intended to give an
idea of the adequacy of geographical-functional coverage provided by the
list so far. It reflects a discussion on 7 September with the NIOs. It
numbers more than 50, to allow for refusals or people whom the DCI may not
wish to include.

Here is a list of Advisory Panel nominations,
presented in two formats. One is organized
by primary specialty, the second in alphabet-
ical order. The latter includes notes on who
nominated them, their present positions, and
their specialties. There are still some rough
spots or blanks in the notes, but I suspect
you will want to have one more meeting on this
at least before we forward anything to the
Director and the rough spots can be smoothed
out and the blanks filled in then.
