I understand you wanted a copy of the minutes prepared here on
last Saturday's meeting. A copy I. attached for your retention. These
were prepared for internal consumption here and consequently are
weighted on the side of intelligence, and specifically DCI interests.
I think it is a good thing to exchange papers of this kind so that
we can all be sure we are in agreement on some of these Pete
tricky matters. In this connection I would very much appreciate having
a copy of whatever minutes you did on this meeting.
The four points that I read out at the meeting, which represented
our understanding of the Secretary of Defense's intention, are as
follows:
The primary purpose of the Working Group is to concern
th problems of command and control;
deal with interchange of intelligence among
of NATO, beyond what is already being accomplished;
(3) There is no intention of stimulating further exchange
intelligence,
(4) The Working Group will not become involved with intellt-
e information derived fro sensitive sources.
