SUBJECT : Scheduling of Military Estimates
6 June 1977
1. Attached is a draft proposal on the future handling of Soviet
and Chinese military NIEs, prepared in response to General Wilson's
letter of 8 April 1977. We would like to get your informal approval
prior to going to the DCI with a formal response to General Wilson.
He may wish to discuss it further with the President, Dr. Brzezinski,
and Secretary Brown.
2. We would like your comments by 15 June; but if any of you
feel that a meeting of the Steering Group is required, we will schedule
one as soon after 15 June as possible.
