1. Had a telephone conversation with Cong. Albert Thomas
(D. , Tex.) on the status of the application for employment of
retired lieutenant commander of the Navy.
A separate memorandum report of this conversation has been
sent to the Inspector General.
2. Had lunch with Sen. J. W. Fulbright (D.,Ark.) and Mr.
Wisner. Mr. Wisner reported to the Senator on his recent visit
to Latin America, and there was considerable discussion of the
educational exchange program and its possible expansion within
certain Latin American countries, such as Argentina and Mexico.
No CIA business was discussed with the Senator.
