SUBJECT : OSI Intelligence Production Program - FY 1956
1. Here is the OSI intelligence production program for Fiscal
Year 1956. I am sure you will find it interesting in the light of the
recommendations made in your survey of OSI. I have approved the imple-
mentation of the program with a few minor changes in subject matter of
some of the projects to orient them more closely to the current world
situation.
2'. The only major change-which I have asked to be made is in the
number of finished intelligence reports to be issued during the year.
Review will be made of the program to determine how many of the so-called
Progress Reports could result in finished or semi-finished intelligence
(Provisional Scientific Intelligence Reports) this year.
