SUBJECT: Ending MAP'for Cambodia
Defense has ur anti asked for our clearance of a;m.esgage ending MAP
to Cambodia. at least one FANK unit 25X1
in western Cambodia, with which we have radio contact, is fighting its
way to the Thai border and may need an ammo drop soon.
RECOMMENDATION:
That you call General Wickham and ask him to hold off on terminating
MAP until we can determine which, if any, of the re,maining.provincial
FANK units need ammo drops in order' to 'reach safe territory.
