ACTIONS TAKEN TO IMPROVE INTELLIGENCE CAPABILITY
Special Security Office (SSO), MACV dispatched to
Phnom Penh on 23 July the equipment necessary to provide
an improved off-line encryption capability. This improved
capability will allow rapid dispatch of necessary intel-
ligence. Target date for activation of this equipment is
31 July. J-2 MACV, in coordination with SSO Phnom Penh,
SSO MACV, and the National Security Agency, Pacific
Representative, Vietnam is now complpting a determination
of additional SI requirements. Courier service has been
used in the past and will continue to be utilized as
required.
