took place on the 21st -- and into the night -- between Israeli
and Syrian troops on the slopes of -Mt Hermon, as Israel claims
to have secured the northern Golan Heights area captured by the
Syrians early in the fighting. Israel -claims to, control-some
481 square kilometers of Syrian territory in addition'to.the
Goan-Heights.
