Egyptian aircraft shot down. In addition, one of two Egyptian
helicopters attempting to land troops near Rai-Sudar was shot
'down, while the other escaped and two Egyptian. KOMAR guided-
missile patrol beats were attacked in the Ras-Muhamed area of the
Red Sea with undetermined results. -MOD. Rome reports that an
-Egyptian R-class Submarine was hit in the Gult of Suez and is
currently en route to Port Sudan. -
SYRIAN PRONT/GOLAN HEIGHTS
(S/NFD) Israelistates that between 60 and 70 IAF aircraft par-
ticipated in the attacks on Syrian airfields, losing one plane
to ground fire. Syrian losses were stated to be 37, 10 of
which were destroyed on the ground and the remainder shot down.
(S/NPD) Syria reportedly received approximately 50 aircraft
from Iraq -- including 30 SU-7/FITTERs and 21 MIG-21/FISHEEDs.

pay the fare. No formal announcement of this plan was given
to the US or British Embassies. Notice was passed to hotels
