MEMORANDUM FOR THE RECORD
Subj: Conversatipn with Air Force on Helicopter Training.
A very sketchy briefing was received on the traixai~xg given in Vietnam.
It mainly consisted of on.th~job training with Army helicopters.
The program is divided into two phases:
Phase 1 -consists of 50 hours of transition flying to convert
H34 pilots to fly HUIS.
Phase IZ -Consisted pf assimilating Vietnamese pilots .straight
from 210 hours pf training from, CONUS and having them fly with Army
pilots until they become proficiexit.

Advisory Group, to get a better briefing an this subject.
