As instructed, I called Mrs. Shih at 10.30 s. m.
today with the following three messages:
1. Mr. Jim F&sta will coin. to their Mission
at 5:00 o'clock this afternoon, New York time. to
pick up their message. He will conirnunicatee it
Immediately to us, but will have no other authority.
2. (Using double talk) The change in the
Intelsat directory listing will be made within a
myth.
3. 1 explained the change in port security
regulations, which will put the PRC on the ague
basis as the Soviet Union and will a flow the
particular pending deal for grata purchase to
proceed. However, there are technical and
legal details concerning these regulations which
the PRC should be aware of with regard to future
port calls. Formal notification of the change in
regulations, as well as all the relevant details,
will be provided through Paris in the very near
future.
