General Walters called this morning and stated that he had accomplished
his mission. His customers were extremely pleased and were even
more cordial than in previous meetings. They reiterated there would
be absolutely no difficulties with the trip as presently visualized (Walters
gave them the change from Wake to Guam and appropriate frequencies).
Walters said they made some very interesting comments about
yesterday's announcement which he has included in a MemCon which
will arrive here by State courier around 5:00 p. m. tomorrow.
