Assistance to Indonesia
At Tab A is. a draft message from you to General Sumitro through
your special channel to inform him of the impending departure of
the study group on U.S. military assistance to Indonesia. I have
conveyed this information to the Indonesian Military Attache,
General Soesilo, but he suggests that we also inform General
Sumitro via our own channels.
RECOMMENDATION:
That you authorize the transmission of the message to General
Sumitro at Tab A.
