OF PEACE OR THE POLICY OF WAR, PRAVDA WRITES TODAY. IN THESE
CONDITIONS, THE SOVIET UNION INVARIABLY DECLARES FOR LIQUIDATION
OF THE SEATS OF WAR v FOR REBUFFING THE ENCROACHMENTS OF IMP- ER I AL I STS
ON FREEDOM AND INDEPENDENCE OF THE PEOPLES p FIRMLY UPHOLDS
THE INTERESTS OF THE WORLD SOCIALISM, OF ALL ITS FRIENDS AN D
ALLIES, OF THE PEOPLES WAGING ANTI IMP ERI ALI ST STRUGGLE.

OF GOOD RELATIONS WITH THE ASIAN STATES. IT HAS THE PURPOSE
TO PROMOTE CONSOLIDATION OF PEACE IN ASIA, TO HELP THE PROGRESSIVE
FORCES OF THE AREA TO WAGE THE STRUGGLE AGAINST IMPERIALISM
AND ALL THE TYPES OF COLONIALISM. THE SYSTEM OF COLLECTIVE
SECURITY IN ASIA PROPOSED BY THE SOVIET UNION CAN BE BASED ON
SUCH PRINCIPLES AS NON-USE OF FORCE IN THE RELATIONS AMONG THE
STATES, RESPECT FOR SOVEREIGNTY AND INVIOLABILITY OF THE
FRONTIERS, NONINTERFERENCE IN THE INTERNAL AFFAIRS, WIDE
DEVELOPMENT OF ECONOMIC AND OTHER COOPERATION ON THE BASIS OF
COMPLETE EQUALITY AND MUTUAL ADVANTAGE.
"THE SOVIET UNION ATTACHES A CONSIDERABLE IMPORTANCE TO
THE DEVELOPMENT OF EQUAL MUTUALLY ADVANTAGEOUS RELATIONS WITH
THE UNITED STATES," PRAVDA WRITES. "RELYING ON THE LENINIST
PRINCIPLES OF PEACEFLL COEXISTENCE, IT STRESSES INVARIABLY
THAT THE IMPROVEMENT OF SOVIET-AMERICAN RELATIONS IS POSSIBLE
AND DESIRABLE BUT IT SHOULD BE ACHIEVED NOT AT THE EXPENSE
OF SOME THIRD COUNTRIES OR PEOPLES, NOT TO THE DETRIMENT OF,
THEIR LEGITIMATE RIGHTS AND INTERESTS".
