On behalf of FACE THE NATION, I would like to 'congratulate
you on your designation to be the Director of the Central
Intelligence Agency.
We hope that you will be our guest on FACE THE NATION at
your earliest possible convenience. The precise program
date can be discussed later. In any case, we very much
want you to be on FACE THE NATION before you appear on
any other network interview broadcast.
We have spoken with Andrew.Falkiewiez, Public Information
Officer at the CIA, and he has assured us that we were the
first interview program to ask that the new CIA Director
appear.
