1. (FOUO) In recent months, several non-National Foreign
Intelligence Board (non-NFIB) Agencies have requested specifica-
tions detailing a simplified procedure to field check sound 25X1A

Security Branch met with Mr. a er a itt of the Administrative
Security Divisir , Bureau of Standards (BOS), Department of
Commerce, and Dr. David T. Goldman, Deputy Director, Institute for
Basic Standards, BOS, relevant to paragraph 4b of the referent.
Dr. Goldman stated the facility to conduct sound attenuation tests
was not constructed at the new BOS headquarters in Darnestown,
Maryland. He further stated that, to his knowledge, the require-
ment as,defined in paragraph 4b of the referent was never levied
upon BOS.
