As you are aware, ORD acting in response to a Congressionally Directed Action has been
reviewing DIA's Star Gate Program. The program is currently classified at DIA in a LIMDIS
compartment and has not yet been transferred. As you know, the program involves the use of
therefore extremely interesting to the media. The current program manager at DIA,
informed ORD that former DIA employees who performed remote viewing in this
program are being contacted by ABC News "20/20" for an expose. The ABC News reporter is
Janet Klein. has referred the inquiry to DIA public affiars.
Since CIA has been asked by Congress to become involved in this program, there is some
potential for CIA implication in the current program activity. CIA has also conducted similar
program activity in the past (1972-1976), and this will the subject of a declassification
review as soon as a suitable evaluation of the documentation can be made. Call me if you have
additional questions. 0 SG1 I
