(S/NF/SK) TASKING% The Monitor was provided a sheet of bond paper with the handwritten tasking as follows: "Project "N". Interviewer/Monitor Tasking: .----2300//688599. :1 ono Subject, Plans, Lc ft TE The target document is in the sealed envelope. Don't open the envelope". Included with the tasking was a large, sealed, opaque envelope containing the target document. In the initial session,/ 2 was ve I::) rovided only the encrypted coordinates cited above, as per Coordinate Remote Viewing (CRV) protocols, to preclude even inadvertent geographic cuing. In all subsequent sessions, Source was again provided these same coordinates and given the opportunity to review His previous sessions but in all cases, declined to do so. No other cuing or descriptive data relevant to the target was provided to the Source in any of the sessions covered in this report. 2. (S/NF/SK) SESSIONS: Midway through the third session covered in this report, -Source paused for an inordinate-amount of time, ceasing to move and to respond to cuing from the Monitor. When He finally did acknowledge the prompting from the Monitor to, "stop pushing the rope and move to the next item", He looked up with a somewhat puzzled look on His face and preceded to continue His session but only after "re ..... cuing" Himself in the particular phase He was in at the time. In post session discussions, Source brought up the incident voluntarily and without prompting with an explanation. Source is involved with a ow/ woman living in Utah. This woman's mother entered the hospital on the date of the session +or cancer surgery. At the moment that Source displayed His almost catatonic behavior, according to Him, He received an overwhelming impression that, "things were not going we :1 with the surgery". After consciously placing this interruption Approved Fbilt6leab1-100.11/03Yott:t IALRffili6E1100/718b R003700770001-7 Approved For Release 2001/03/07 : CIA-RDP96-00789R003700770001-7 SECRET/NOFORN - SKEET CHANNELS ONLY behind Him, Source was able to continue the session. There were no other reportable incidents or an which may have affected or _influenced the data provided by the Source. 3. (S/NF/SK) SUMMARY:: a. (S/NF/SK) Although Source only required one TAB series, He nevertheless spent a relatively long period of time at: to acquire a clearly defined signal. This phase was exemplified by a long list of A/B components indicating a preliminary impression of a, "surface" and a "structure", followed by a series of Stage IT impressions of, "white, smooth....grainy, salty, tall, wide", and "long". Several sketches accompanying this phase were essentially geometric shapes without any real order or specific recognizable foI ms. (SEE PAGE 1 THROUGH 4 OF SOURCE NOTES). b. (S/NF/SK) Source then moved to a Stage IV matrix and continued to report a wide variation of information which still seemed to reflect Source's impression of a structure, i.e., large, tall, complex, metal parts, high, labyrinthine...". Source further .perceived the presence of people, "walking, working..." (in/near) this structure. (SEE PAGE 7 OF SOURCE NOTES). Source was then tasked to report on, "an object" at the site which He listed in His Stage IV matrix. Source perceived the object as, "metal, flexible, linked, swinging...". Attempts to further clarify these images were essentially unsuccessful in that no relevancy to the known target could be ascertained. Continued of to focus Source's perceptions on the concepts of "object" and "structure" produced further wide variations of descriptions of differing gestalts?- i.e., "wide, square (structure), technical, covers large area, rounded, hillS, rooms, corridors", and the perception that the target was, "non US". (SEE PAGE 9 AND 10 OF SOURCE NOTES). cU (S/NF/SK) Following a break in the session, Source requested He be given the opportunity to return to Stage I since He believed He was not correctly reporting on the target, i.e., "lost the signal". This procedure produced essentially the same type of data as the first Stage I exercise, i.e., perceptions of land and a structure. The ensuing Stage II listings produced an, "oil smell" in addition to many of the same concepts previously reported - "hard, warm, light color, solid, round...". (SEE PAGES 12 AND 13 OF SOURCE NOTES). Source's Stage IV matrix was significant in that HE chose to rely on the narrative style afforded by the "84 1/2" concelA which may have driven Him even further away from accurate reporting and precipitated the termination of the session without providing any new data not already reported earlier. Prior to termination, Source did report that the structure may have consisted of, "several parts...sections and was not easily moved (but) not permanent, functional...technical (in nature), calibrating, instrumentation..." Approved FiWitifWird"i6t4 /03715.f. 1501506i-616 R003700770001-7 Approved For Release 2001/03/07 : CIA-RDP96-00789R003700770001-7 SECRET/NOFORN SKEET CHANNELS ONLY and the final concept that this structure has an, nof-ficiiia purpose". d. (S/NF/SK) Yn the second session covered in this report, Source did not require passage through Stage but chose to begin directly with a Stage IV matrix. Again the Source seemed to move to the concepts of a tall structure with a technical ambience including some new references of, "mechanical, electrrnics, communications Source further perceived the concept of people, "monitoring, controlling...". (SEE PAGES 2 AND 3 OF SOURCE NOTES, SESSION #2). Shapes were also described in more specific terms, "cylindrical, hollow, seamed...", but the majority of the remainder of The report again drifted to a series of "84 1/2" comments. The overuse of this structure modification often indicates an inability on the part of the Source to provide clear, orderly and structured descriptions in the accepted format. This reporting format may be further symptomatjc of a, "confused signal line", an, "AOL Drive" or simply laziness on the part of the Source. In the case of this mission, it is believed that the unusual nature of the tasking was the root cause of a confused signal rrm; ,....,117-part. of the Source. 'In these S4 1/2's, Source clarified an earlier reference to the number "7" by stating that, "seven is a dimensional referring to..."7" somethings, "7" things geographically separated. Not all the same nature or shape...". This perception was further described as a concept of one, "entity or several sub components...which are not all like each other...centralized control...self ..... serving...". (SEE PAGES 5 THROUGH 7, OF SOURCE NOTES, SESSION 11:2). This exercise in 54 1/2 utilization only resulted in further confusion by the Source. Source then returned to the more accepted matrix structure. e. (S/NF/SK) In the latter portions of the second session, Source continued to react with deep consternation and obvious confusion evidenced by the nature'b+ His ST-age VI matrix, which, much like His answers, rambled all over the page seemingly going nowhere in particular. Source described, "structures, halls, decorated, non US, older, elegant furnishings, gentle timeliness...", followed by a return to more mechanical references such as, "projections, parts, equipment, reflective, devices, electronic circuits, housing...". (SEE PAGES 7 THROUGH 10 OF SOURCE NOTES, SESSION #2). The "object/device" perceived by Source was described as, "spinning, rotating, flat, round...", at which time Source verbally volunteered that, "this was leading nowhere". At that point the decision was made to ter=ate T77-Se47777bn to preclude Source from becoming even more confused. f. (S/NE/SK) In the third session covered in this report, Source was again told that this would be another, "trip" to the same target as before. With this knowledge, Source again chose to, "re- establish a signal line", by beginning again at Stage I. Source progressed into the Stage IV matrix and again continued to report many of the terms previously reported in other session pertaining to this target, i.e., "large, metal, components...", with an follow-on 84 1/2 description of something relating to, "ccmAruction, seamiess...smooth, jointiess, seams blend together...". (SEE PAGE 4 OF SOURCE NOTES, SESSION #3). In Stage IV, Source resorted to a further series of Si 1/2 comments to attempt to explain His impressions such as, "something inside surrounded by outside", and "something new, radical d764)artin", nei.CM:. of which could be directly correlated to the target, the actual document itself. On the other hand, the ijlformation provided by Source may have been references to material actually located in the text of the document. An attempt to Stage V the concept of, "object" delivered up a long list of word descriptors which tended to continue to support the idea of a sophisticated eicciuzlic device under development. The purpose of this device was not1775adily perceivable in the data provided by Source. (SEE PAGES 5, 6A AND 6B OF SOURCE NOTES, SESSION #3). g. (S/NF/SK) One item in Source's Stage V, the term, "Readouts" bore some relevance, albeit scant, to the actual target. Source was tasked, .therc.4ore, to "Stage V" the word "Readout". The information again continued to support a concept of a document designed to record the performance and development of a sophisticated piece of electronics. (SEE PAGE 6C OF SOURCE NOTES, SESSION #3). No other clarification or indication that Source was on the right path to actually perceiving the true nature of this targeting could be perceived from the data obtained in this session. h. (S/NF/SK) In the final session of this report, Source was told simply to, "Stage V" the actual target coordinates and not to at. to enter into any other matrix at this time. This procedure had been decided upon as an effort to actually "force" the Source to describe the target utilizing the at existent parameters of the Stage V matrix in which the Source actually "questions" Himself about, "the object, the attributes, the subjects and the topics" pertaining to a specific target. This technique produced further "confirmation" of Source's previous descriptions of a high-tech device of some sort with numerous words related to the technical aspects of this device, i.e., "emanations...solid state...magnetic...electrical...fields, connections, convergence!..rescwancliatic7r)s" and many more similar * . techniral "jargon" words all of whi ch +ailed to provide any further clarification of just what it was that the Source was attempting to describe. Two final attempts to Stage V other words, "Research," and "Documents", in an attempt to perhaps cause the Source to perceive re.a1.1..h in terms of documents and papers, met with a similar long SECRET /NIC3FORNI l'HANI11.U.S C1141 Approved For Release 2001/03/07 : CiA-RDP96-00789R003700770001-7 Approved For Release 2001/03/07 : CIA-RDP96-00789R003700770001-7 SECRET/NOFORN SKEET? CHANNELS ONLY listing of technical "jargon" words, again with no real resolution of the actual mission mJestion. Many of these words are tantalizing and interesting, i.e., "frequencies...superconductors...resistance...", but did nothing to prove to the Monitor that the Source had properly acquired the document in question, which in reality, was the actual target. The final session was then terminated without any attempt to further explore any of the concepts provided in the Stage V attempts through further structured responses. 4. (S/NF/SK) OPS FEEDBACKg .These four sessions have been extremely frustrating for both the Source as well as the Monitor. Although the Monitor was aware of the general nature of the targeting, a document in a sealed envelope, he was not made aware of the actual subject matter of the document. The Source was unaware of the fact that the target was actually a document and may have actually "gone" to the document and "read" e:information. The confusion in such a circumstance iTS obvious, the Monitor, aware only that a document is the target, cannot verify nor lead the Source away or to the data being provided, (assuming that the information is actually located within the text), and therefore has to remain very cautious in the handling of the Source to preclude "shoving" Him down a false or blind trail. It is planned to conduct future sessions on this mission but discussion are currently underway as to the exact method tI at will utilized to break this impasse.
