Civil Air Patrol Calls Off
Search for Student Pilot
The air, water and ground search for a stu-
dent pilot missing since taking off from Mary-
land on Oct. 4 has been suspended, the Civil
Air Patrol said yesterday.
Rosa Gonzales, 30, of Annapolis, was on a
training flight from Annapolis to various spots
on the Delmarva Peninsula when her single-
engine Piper Cherokee was believed lost,
some time between 2 and 6 p.m.
During her trip, she had landed safely at the.
Bay Bridge and Summit, Del., airports, then
spoke by radio to the Dover, Del., airport and
was seen on radar about seven miles north of
Millington, Md., about 2:20 p.m.
Initially, the patrol received reports that.
