ATTN OF.
SUBJECT: 'R&D Funding Distribution
THRU: DI-SF
TO. OCC
1. DIA received an ?ppropriation of $2.0 million (R&D) in the
FY 1992 GDIP budget primarily to pursue external phenomenological
research. Consequently, augmentations to the existing R&D
contract (MDA908-91-C-0037),with SAIC for phenomenological
research, and new purchase requests for new research, are now
being initiated (PR No's 330/025Z/92, 330/026Z/92).
2. It is anticipated that $1.85 million of this allocation will
be for current research augmentation and for new research. The
remainder ($150K) will be required by DIA/ODT to help support
external basic research projects, for in-house operational
research activity as directed by the FY 1992 Congressional
language, and for related project support. All of this $150K
will be in the form of research support TDY and operational
activity TDY.
3. Any portion of this $150K that cannot be expended during FY92
will be returned to the contract for additional research or other
contractual support.
4. Should additional information be re uired, please contact the
ODT POC for this activity, OD-S, or
AV 923-7822.
